Taylor Wimpey, Yate, North Gloucestershire.

Problem:

Taylor Wimpey had been having a series of thefts on their sites and had just begun a large construction site in Bristol. They were experiencing further issues and were paying for costly manned guards. There were issues with health and safety on site in camera placement and the use of cabling.

Ace Defence proposed a solution of alarmed CCTV and key holder response. The system utilised their MAC CAM wireless system using their patented pallet cams. The pallet cam was specifically built to high health and safety standards for Taylor Wimpey. It was designed to allow them to move and redeploy the system themselves as the project evolved and certain areas needed the security.

Solution:

Provided Taylor Wimpey with a cost saving of approximately 75% compared to their manned guard solution.
After the system being on site there has been a dramatic incident in incidents. On one a occasion a group was stopped whilst causing damage to a show home and another causing damage to the generator. This has potentially saved Taylor Wimpey thousands in damages and lost working hrs. Further projects are now scheduled.

Persimmon, Stotfold, Bedfordshire.

Problem:

There had been some concerning high value thefts on the Stotfold site that had effected other construction companies. In one incident there had been an extensive copper theft which had caused approximately 50 thousand in losses. Persimmons were concerned about the costs encountered with manned guards. They had also experienced numerous thefts from their staff car parks.

Solution:

Following a full survey Ace Defences proposed their wireless cam solution, the MAC CAM, combined with a static CCTV solution to cover the car park. This was supported by full monitoring and key holder response. This made savings of approximately 75% on their current manned guarding costs. Within the first couple of weeks their were a number of activations. Ace Defence’s guarding service attended and dealt with these incidents. Since then there has not been any further incidents of theft or damage reported. Demonstrating the system has acted as an excellent deterrent as well as saving Persimmon thousands on manned guards. Further projects are now scheduled.

Bovis, Bristol

Problem:

Expensive manned guard costs and persistent acts of vandalism were causing Bovis significant losses and impacting their bottom line with expensive manned guard costs. There was an immediate need and Ace Defence were asked to install system within a 2 day turn around.

Solution:

Ace Defence’s wireless solution was quickly deployed with an install time of 4 hours. It was combined with a key holder service that met an Sevice Level Agreement of 30 minutes. The solution has saved Bovis thousands on their security costs and further projects are now scheduled.

St Marys Church, Bradford Abbas

Problem:

St Mary’s church suffered earlier this year large-scale lead theft to their roof.

Solution:

Following a full survey, Ace Defences proposed their wireless cam solution, the MAC CAM. The system discreetly protects the roof without any interference to the daily runnings of the church.
